Saturday, 28 September 2024, the Blasert Force 568 Troopers embarked on a group-wide martial arts skills training, self-defense seminar, basic drills & execution seminar and a drug abuse prevention education lecture. The event started with an invocation, flag-raising ceremony & inspirational message from the Founder & Chairman of Blasert Forece 568 Inc., Mr. Achilles “Kit” Coronel, CPA.
This was followed by an opening remarks by our Martial Arts Training & Self Defense Instructor, BF Col. Osias R. Cartagena, Jr. a Master Teacher 1 at the City Central National High School, a National Kickboxing Champion and a professional Martial Arts Instructor. It was a rigorous 4-hour training of various movements & styles designed for self-defense in case of physical assault.
Lunch break saw our Police personnel from Police Station 4 talked about common, community crimes, making arrests and the PNP’s efforts to work closely with the local community as pursued by the DILG’s R-PSB program (Revitalized Police sa Barangay Program).
Then we had the Basic Drills Commands & Executions Training conducted by BF Col. Eliseo G. Rapana, a School Teacher & Administrator and ROTC Commandant for the CTU – Barili & Dumanjug Campuses.
After the afternoon break, we started with the Drug Abuse Prevention Education conducted by Ms. Leia A. Alcantara, Chief, Preventive Education & Community Involvement Section, PDEA R-7 assisted by Mr. Philip London D. Noynay, Intelligence Officer 1, PDEA R-7.
The event finished at 1645H with participants excited to put their new learnings in practice.
